Thread: Unable to load pictures

  1. #1

    Default Unable to load pictures

Is anyone else having trouble with the picture loader when listing new items? ...... I click on add Photo and it takes me to the picture loader screen. Then as soon as I click on "open files' the Pic loader screen vanishes?????

Yes, I usually use the "Simple" uploader but today(1 hour ago) it didn't work at all. (I do wish it still showed the % complete at the bottom, then I wouldn't sit there not knowing if anything IS happening).

I changed to the "Advanced" uploader and used that instead, it worked OK.

    HI Gary,

We've been chatting on your support ticket but are yet to get to the bottom of the problem you are having.

If anyone else can replicate it we would be very grateful if you can let us know, it has us flummoxed at the moment.

When on the listing form click on the blue "Choose Photo" button to open up the MY GALLERY overlay, this loads fine, BUT, when the "Add Files" button is clicked on the Advanced Uploader then the overlay closes straight away and Gary is just left with the Windows file chooser window. The overlay closes exposing the listing form.

It's happening in Chrome, Firefox and Edge and Opera for him which make it all the more confusing.

Once we have a replication we will be able to attempt the fix but at the moment we're struggling with it.,

    Thanks,
    Gazza

I have the same problem. I had it few months ago when I decided to start listing here again and the glitch stopped me so I thought maybe you will fix it soon, but nothing changed I guess...

    :-(

Here is the cast that I managed to do. You will see that anytime or anywhere I click on the form, the form is gone. Please do something.

Cool Re: Unable to load pictures

If you go to My eBid > My Gallery you can upload photos

Glad there is another option for this :-)

I rather wonder if this may not be something to do with your browser cache - Try this - after you upload and do a listing, then go to your listings search (where you see the problem, right?) and then hold down the shift key and hit F5 or click refresh (Refresh page) - note the holding shift key part - it tells browser to force reload instead of using cache - if that solves your issue, maybe it is just your web browser with the problem.. if not, it may be a little bit of "lag" between the photo hosting and the main server? (since your pictures show up when viewing the listing, they've obviously uploaded..)

    just a thought...
