    Question Signing in twice.

Hi, Why is it that when you're already signed in to the main site, if you want to use the forums you have to sign in again? It's not hard to sign in twice but I can't help thinking it would simplify things for the end user to just sign once, both for the main site and the forums too. What do others think?

from memory (and I could be wrong) I think it is because main site and forum use different servers hence there is no other option?

Ha! I vaguely remember a previous thread about this - I think you are right, Cheaver.

You can tick the 'remember me' box on the forums so you don't have to keep signing in. You will then only have to sign in again if you clear your cookies, history etc.

    Thanks Cornish,

There are remember me boxes for both the main site and the forums which means you can stay logged in permanently if you wish,
