Default Holiday Notice spot the difference!

    .

Below is a picture of eBid's holiday notice on my listings as well as one of my own holiday notice.

There is a presumption by eBid that Sellers are able/willing to answer questions whilst on Holiday.

I think this presumption should be removed as this is a potential frustration for buyers not getting answers to the questions they have been invited to ask.

It's worth pointing out also that eBids notice has much greater prominence. I wonder how many buyers actually read the Seller notice beneath?

Frustrations like these are not wanted!

It was so much better when we could add a coloured background and larger text/font to our Holiday Notices.

How can I answer a question about an item when I'm away on holiday and the item is at home?!

I agree with Cheaver, Madelaine, Annie and HerMajesty.

Totally agree, and we have been asking to have the colour option back on our notices for years now !

I think the assumption has always been that if someone aims to keep advertising their products online whilst away then they would also be willing to answer questions to potential buyers, just not be able to physically post out goods during the period. To completely stop all traffic and interest in their items then a bulk edit + close would maybe be more suitable.

As ever we are open to all suggestions on how to improve all aspects of the site though, let us know.

    Thanks,
    Gazza
