I can't buy a toilet-brush at my local hardware store, but can at the Wilco 100 yards away because they stock a minute amount of "food" and a very limited range of cleaning products. Which the family store doesn't.
I went to Homebase yesterday (my lawn-mower broke down) and while queueing saw more garden plants and compost coming out the door than DIY materials But the family-run nursery I buy from for my business is progressively throwing this seasons summer plants away in an effort to save some fit to sell if they are allowed to open in time to do so.
I do hope the reported relaxation, coming on Monday addresses these and others. 99% of people are following the guide-lines, or at least doing their best to. But if the logic can't be seen, co-operation might also start to fray and that won't help anyone.
