Thread: Incorrect notification that a posting had ended

  1. #1

Default Incorrect notification that a posting had ended

I ALMOST REPOSTED AN ITEM THAT WAS ALREADY REPOSTED!

I received ths email from eBid:

message from eBid : UNSUCCESSFUL LISTING

A listing you started on eBid has ended with no sales.

Listing Title : 1950 Monaco Air Post Stamps Overprinted Complete Set of 3 Scott C72 to C74 MNH

    More Details & Repost : https://www.ebid.net/us/perl/account...w&id=137197927

Why not try again. Try editing your price, add a BuyNow price to show your listing on Google Shopping, maybe accept offers on it. These ideas help you make a sale.

    Happy Trading!!

    eBid Team

Fortunately, I checked and found that it had reposted automatically, on schedule.

This is worrisome. I have thousands of listings on eBid, so I'm a nitpicker, keep a lot of lists, and double-check everyting. Fortunately.

Someone should take a look at how this happened.

    Hi Tia,

Our records show this listing closed at 06:20 (UTC) Wednesday 23rd ..(11.20pm Tuesday 22nd west coast time) and was then reposted using the MASS REPOST (checkbox on Listings I Ran page) system at 06:32 (UTC) (11.32pm Tuesday west coast time), so 12 minutes afterwards.

The closed confirmation email was sent out to you at 06:20:08 (UTC)

Yes, as I said, it WAS reposted, on schedule, along with all the others in that batch. The problem is the separate notification I received from you (quoted above) that said this single item had ended unsuccessfully.

I always check that the total number of reposts is correct, and this item was included in that batch.

The above notification came later, and separately. Fortunately, as I said, I checked and found it was already running. If it happens to someone who doesn't check, they might list the item again.
