UK pubs and restaurants told to close from tonight in virus fight - 20.3.2020

Cafes, pubs and restaurants must close from Friday night, except for take-away food, to tackle coronavirus, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.


All the UK's nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres have also been asked to close "as soon as they reasonably can".

Wow!...What are all these places? I have only walked up the road occasionally to post letters in more than 2 years.

My concern is for all those young workers who work in pubs and cafes who are already on a low income.

I imagine quite a few will never be open again. It will certainly be a different country to look back on after it has subsided. It feels like we are in one of the apocolyptic movies the show on the syfy channel. At least we still have internet so fat.
