Need help identifying the maker of this piece of pottery.

And no, I haven't posted about this before!

If I remember correctly, it was bought in the Lake District many years ago.



Planter is 10.5cm tall and 14cm diameter across top.

Does anyone recognise this style of pottery or the maker?

It's mocha ware studio pottery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynSOt6RjSA4 lots of potters use this technique, one of the most famous being Boscastle pottery in Cornwall. Does the pot have a pottery mark ? If so can you get a close up of it ?

The only mark is this one - which I at first thought was a blemish!

Looks like a monogram 'MP' which would either be the potter's initials or M something-or-other Pottery. I have to laugh as I picked up a mug about two weeks ago and it's made by the very same person so I need to find out who it is too !



If I find out then I'll let you know. Or if anyone else knows please put us out of our misery !

Right found him ! The potter's name is Mike Pollard from Devon but I don't know where in Devon.
