Well spotted Elizabeth!!
April 12th in the Western Church, but in the Eastern (Orthodox) it wil be a week later, the 19th.
Most here will remember I explained how the dates are arrived at last year. If travelling to any part of Greece and the islands watch out for religious dates when arriving/departing. One of the worst is the Feast of the Assumption (August 15th in East and West). Not a major problem in the West as it is simply a holiday of obligation, but in the East the whole of the world stops as there are military parades etc which block traffic. Arriving at the height of such parades means that there are no coaches to take you to your hotel, despite the package promise) and you can forget any idea of a taxi. This means that, if you have picked on a hill village, you will be dropped on the outskirts and left to fight your way through carrying your own cases. I learned that the hard way!! And as it's a special feast to Our Lady, do not expect any miracles!!
