As many here will know I'm to reach 80 years of age in about two weeks. Not at all exciting you might think...and it isn't...or wasn't...BUT .... I have just received a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions announcing that I am entitled to an age-related increase of........wait for it! Fanfare please!! Yes! I am to receive an extra 25 pence per week!!!

Bearing in mind that it must have cost much more to send out this letter....I wonder yet again about certain planners, in certain positions...then think: "Ah well! It won't be for much longer....!!!"

Seriously? I think my eyeballs are going to be permanently stuck pointing up due to all the eye rolls I do at government policies, politicians, and general lack of common sense.
