Don't know if this will help, but since Ancestry mucked up the Rootsweb Freepages websites, loads of problems uploading new pages with Filezilla..

There are two versions of Filezilla offered, make sure you are downloading and installing FILEZILLA CLIENT - NOT Filezilla Server.

You will be pleased to know i did it................ well I put it in the wrong place but a nice helpful man from Fasthosts put them in the right place for me, serves me right really for buying hosting from fly by nights at least i know with Fasthosts it wont go walk about again
