    Default Advanced search

I am (for my sins) a stamp collector.

When I look at your stamp listings I can select new or unused. Which do I select if I only want MNH (Mint Never Hinged)? Some sellers could list these as new, others as unused, and to go through two massive listings such as these is quote frankly bordering on the impossible.

Also when I look at France for example, I am only able to lok at France and Colonies, and as most stamps in the list are Colonies I am faced with over 200 pages to look for, which is again impracticable.

Again, there is no way of reducing the selected stamps to particular year of issue, which again makes the search tedious to the extreme.

More filters are needed urgently if I am going to visit your site again.

Please notify me when (or if) you are going to install them. Until then, goodbye.

Since my first day here (back in 2008) I have felt that the eBid search engine is very weak. Nothing much seems to have changed since then.

As you say, more filters are required to allow the user to hone their search.

Sadly, I don't think there is much chance of any change. It didn't happen when admin were responsive to user input and now that they appear disconnected the chances diminish.

Philhigh I have sent a link of this thread on to support so I hope you might get a response. I agree that searching for stamps here is rather painful !

Please don't leave us, we like buyers here very much !

Stamps are one of the items that would really benefit from (seachable & selectable) attributes - but the rollout of those seems to have come to a grinding halt.
