eBid Security Certificate Expired

We've restored redirections to the old country subdomain URLs that seemed to be still in use.

eg. https://us.ebid.net and https://uk.ebid.net will now redirect again whereas it hasn't been for the last few days.

These were retired around 3 years ago but we understand that some bookmarks will still be using these.

Edit the links in your signature to the following form:

https://www.ebid.net/uk/stores/storename

Note that storename is formed from your store's name converted to all lower case and spaces replaced by hyphens.

Example:

https://www.ebid.net/uk/stores/tony41-british-commonwealth-stamps

The shortform links (that you are currently using) which used to work now seem to be causing problems; probably because they are calling the supposedly 'retired' subdomain names.

Changing your Sig will be quicker than waiting for eBid to address the issue.

Thanks for the advice. I don't seem to be able to edit my links. When I go to Forums - Settings - Edit signature, all I get is the option to upload a picture, not to edit links.

That is odd. The Edit Signature page begins with a preview of your signature, followed by a text editor in which you may create or change your signature and any links therein, followed by the option to upload an image.

I can edit the signature but can't get at the links to change them. The text editor only changes the words in the signature.

Ah, you must have your editor in WYSIWYG mode. You need to "Switch Editor to Source Mode" by clicking the ^a/A icon in the top-left corner of the editor menu.

We've fixed your URLs Tony. You were using /gb/ instead of /uk/
