Neither had I until I read it on a review site but this accusation and others are read and do influence people even when they are untrue.
No, I did not realise YDC was a spin-off, or that at that time nothing sold except during YDC. To be frank I am more concerned about the many sellers, who even now are more or less in the same position.
We both know it is very difficult to change the views of someone who is posting negative comments about ebid elsewhere. I too try to promote ebid over there whenever I can. There is one thing that will stop the detractors in their tracks and show the poisonous comments up for what they are -- concrete evidence to the contrary.
A transaction counter would provide that. It might take a little while but every time a seller clocks up another successful transaction it chips away at the argument that is used so often against ebid and has hamstrung it and its sellers for so long. It would prove that things DO sell here, slowly at first, but as numbers grow so will confidence. THAT IN ITSELF will attract more sellers, followed by more buyers.
