There is little you can do to mask information on Paypal.
Maybe they have a do not share my information option.

This is actually old news, have seen reference to it in January. I seem to remember seeing a similar listing on PayPal before that, but could be wrong. The headline is of course somewhat misleading. The 600 companies is a complete list of companies that it shares data with, but the actual number of companies it shares an individual's data with will be less as it depends where you reside and the type of PayPal service you use. Unfortunately they do not have a do not share my information option, though you can opt out of cookie use. If you did opt out of sharing your information then PayPal wouldn't work.
It is unfortunate that they do share information with so many companies, but I suspect it has to for the service to work and I also suspect it is a legal requirement in some cases.
So you have to accept this sharing of information if you wish to use PayPal. Just pray that the companies they do share your information with have good security.
