For those that have asked, it IS a completely FREE game. You do not have to give any details or sign up for anything. There are no gimmicks, cons or misleading Terms and Conditions. Unlike almost every supposedly free offer, this game is genuinely FREE. The download is FREE.

I am the inventor of the game and I am making it available to any and all who want it. Just follow the link in the first post.

Once you have downloaded the game you can freely copy the file and give away as many copies as you want to.

Everything required for the game is included in the PDF document. PDF documents can be read using Adobe's free PDF software or other 3rd party software is widely available.

The beauty of having the game as a PDF is that when - like with most games - you lose a card or playing piece, you can easily print another one as a replacement.

Have just read through and it looks interesting. A group of us at University, a very long time ago. used to pass time discussing what wuld have happened if.... For exanple if Hannibal Barca had not lost the Punic Wars. Oh...and by the way, "Order of Play", second para, first sentence...hmmm!

Although the series of books that the game is based on are aimed at the young adult market, they are still a great read no matter how many years young you are. The various story lines offer a variety of alternate time lines and their consequences. Book 5 also offers a brief story line cross over with the author's brother's books which are based in Roman times. Alex Scarrow is the brother of Simon Scarrow.
