Default Being charged for a myHermes returned/undelivered parcel

I received an email from myHermes this morning saying that my parcel has not been delivered and will be returned to me at a cost of £3.33 + VAT. (£4)
How do I pay this as there is no payment link in the email and cannot find a link about this in my online account.

I gather the parcel will be destroyed if I don't pay - tried Live Chat but that timed out and have also sent an email.
May have to resort to a phone call but not if I can help it!

Anyone else had this problem as I don't fancy telling my eBid buyer that her parcel has been destroyed as no-one was in to take delivery despite being emailed myHermes tracking details.

    Answers on a postcard please

My Hermes will attempt delivery 3 times before taking further action.

I wasn't about for a delivery a while back and they left me a card telling me that this was a 1st attempt and that they would try again the next day and the next before returning to sender.

Your buyer can also track their parcel at their end through MyHermes emails so unless they have not been checking their emails I don't see how they could have missed delivery. It appears you have done everything you could to get the parcel to them.

I'm not sure how the distance selling regs covers this in detail though

Well, my parcel was returned by myHermes yesterday after 3 attempts at delivery to my buyer's friend's address.

Now to tell my buyer that his parcel wasn't delivered; that he gave me an incorrect email addy for the delivery address; I was charged £4 for the return - and if he wants a refund, it will be less the return charge..........
