Ninja Lister Category Id Issue

Hi all, Ok not a website glitch but could not find a forum for Ninja Lister.

I have just upgraded to NL 2.04 and now it is telling me that category ID 7500 is not a Valid ID.

Also if i select a sub category under 7500 which it tells me is 25255 it then says ids over 25000 not permitted.

I already have over 700 listings running with ID 7500.

Any Ideas?

Check to make sure the id has not been changed, there have been new category's added lately, and this has moved some of the category id's around.

The 7500 category still exists on my eisting listings. However there are now sub categories under 7500 (circuit breakers and fuses), all of these sub categories have a value higher than 25000 and Ninja Lister will not accept a value higher than 25000.

I have upgraded to the latest NL2.04.

I think you are getting confused with the Category and the Store Category columns on NL.


From what I see in your listings you are selling MCB's and the Category for those is 7500.


As you have over 700 listings you might want to split these into Store Categories. EG: 10 amp, 16 amp, 25 amp etc. This will make it easier for perspective customers to see at a glance what you have.


To make the sub cats in your store go to:
My eBid>My eBid Stores and select the store you want to configure.
Scroll down to Section 3 and start adding your store sub cats.
You can then use NL to seperate your listings into theose sub cats.

OP - You now need to change your Category to 7510 - easy to do in NL

Thank you for the reply Gill but that is not my problem. I am not confused, i know how it works. The issue is that the category i have always used is now invalid in Ninja lister and the new sub categories under 7500 are not recognised by Ninja lister. 7510 is not what i am selling and i already have store categories and sub categories.

My apologies. I thought 7510 with a sub cat 25255 would cover your listings so obviously I don't know what a miniature circuit breaker is.

By the way, you have one store with one cat and one sub cat.

You can always send an email to support@ebid.net to get a quicker answer.

Also, you have to remember that when the team are making changes to the site, it takes time and so the site may not be on its best behaviour.
