Default Buyer unable to use my Paypal button

having just sold my first item, my buyer has let me know that they cannot get my Paypal button to work correctly. I sent an invoice to the buyer for the item; they clicked on the Paypal button which took them to a login page. The buyer says there seems to be no direct process for them to pay me from the Ebid invoice that I sent. I've probably not set something up correctly but I can't work out what it is that I haven't done. I am remaining online in order to try and fix this, since it may probably affect all my other listings as well. Any thoughts please let me know asap.

No doubt more experienced sellers will be along to help out, but a couple of clarifications:

Have you set a valid PayPal address up in your My Defaults?

Whose login page is displayed when the buyer presses the PayPal button (eBid's or PayPal's)?

I do know that the payment system on eBid can be a bit 'convoluted', so it is possible that your buyer is expecting it to work the same as eBay and getting thrown when it isn't.

Sorry, My Defaults above should have been My Personal Details.

It sounds to me as though the hiccup is with Paypal (or your Buyer) not you or eBid. Once Buyer clicked your Paypal button it took them to Paypal log in (eBid's job done) - once they had logged into Paypal the invoice and payment buttons in Paypal should have been staring the Buyer in the face!

Does your Buyer think they have to pay eBid direct on the invoice?

Yes I have an email address set in the Paypal section under My Personal Details. The buyer is apparently getting through to what she calls a "login page", and then to My Paypal (I presume HER Paypal, but this is a bit ambiguous at the moment). The buyer has a large feedback number so I think she knows more than I do!

I'm the buyer. When I click on the paypal logo on the invoice, it takes me to a paypal log in icon. I log in, and it then just directs me to my main paypal page where I see all my credits and debits......no invoice at all from the seller. I can pay manually, but it doesn't seamlessly take me through a paypal payment procedure. Not a normal situation.
    Ta-Ta for now!

Just looked at my seller preferences and cannot see any settings turned on for encrypted payments. Will carry on looking....
