Hi all
I used to have a shop here but I had to give it up due to being a full time carer to both parents for over 20 years but the last few have been really hard sadly I had to give my shop up, I lost dad just two days before Christmas and although still looking after mum I would like to set shop back up. Just wondering what sales and footfall is like.

It does depend what you sell really. Some folk have super sales and others zero

I will be looking at selling handmade handbags,kids bags, dog collar leads etc plus cards. I see a lot of posts about eBay,esty Amazon but haven't seen anything about Ebid. Just wondering if it gets as much as those.

Not as much footfall as any of those. I too sell cards and have over 1750 listed and in the last two years have sold around 10!

As Maelbrigda says very slow, my last sale was February but as I have paid for lifetime fee I just stick around and check in 3 times a day, morning noon and night so if your listing on another site don't give up totally there. I list on 1 other site and although fees keep rising at least I get a few sales there. I'll not make my fortune with on line selling it just provides me with little treats now and again and gets me out the house when I have something to post.

Give it a go if you have already paid what have you got to lose.

I have been maintaining between 200 and 300 items (rocks) listed here, and have sold 40 items since 1 March. That's about the same level of sales as during the same period on another, high-traffic site where listings are more time-consuming to maintain and that takes a much bigger cut out of every sale. You do have to let people know that you sell here, or you'll be relying entirely upon potential buyers finding your items on search engines.

I find this site works better than anywhere else because I can list thousands of items for free, and only pay when there is a sale.
I have 41000 listings but only sell 200-300 a month.
So I list a lot to get regular sales

only 20,000 items across me and maple but our sales are great as well

Wow thank you so much for replying. I'm going to reopen my shop, been busy getting ready for an event . I did some leaflet designs and included Ebid on it it's on for 8 weeks so give me a chance to start my shop.
