I am pleased to announce the main charity I have chosen for YDC138 is Rumbles Catering Project

They are a fairly small charity that currently get no government aid whatsoever and do exceptional work with adults with learning difficulties including many on the Autistic Spectrum.

This is a super Charity ~ quite a small one as you say doing invaluable work. Their Charity Number is: 1098404.
They don't have a lot of income and what they do get is spent (more than) on their charitable works. Also, none of the Trustees receive remuneration.

What a great choice Private Ntings. It's like that 'Kitchen Impossible' programme that is running on channel 4 at the moment. Great that these young people are getting good training in lots of new skills and building up their confidence.

Thanks for the positive responses so far. They really do struggle with funding and do great work. When I worked in a local care home one of our service users attended and really enjoyed it.

Plus, I think when a charity gets too large the proportion of funds going to paying management and promotion to generate more funds can exceed that which goes where was intended. They become, effectively, an unregulated business.

I think there was a case a while back of the RSPCA giving top staff zero percent mortgage loans. You are better giving to your local branch of a charity than the head.
