Thread: Update on funds raised for Autism East Midlands

  1. #1

Default Update on funds raised for Autism East Midlands

Hi, just a quick update on the funds raised for Autism East Midlands from last months YDC. I have just been speaking to the manager Andy Cocker at The Sherwood Centre about the money and it has been suggested that they use the money to purchase plant for a sensory garden that they are in the process of setting up. This will be of great benefit to some of the less able service users to enjoy and to the more able who will be designing and planting up the garden. Andy has also said he will provide me with photos of the service users planting it up and also of the raised beds and poly tunnel that we have already helped to purchase.

Regarding this month's YDC I am still waiting to hear back from the other charity I mentioned, if I haven't heard back by tomorrow I will call in and see what the outcome will be.

I will keep you all posted.

Cheers for now & many many thanks for everyone's continued support.

    Mel

What a great idea for the sensory garden. Looking forward to seeing the photos, I expect Hurry would like to add them to her new YDC photo album.

I just love the idea of a sensory garden and very much look forward to seeing the photos of all the works in progression.

Ah, so my efforts have not gone unnoticed! Yes, more pictures please. Have been combing through past YDC threads for some to include ... but any others are most welcomed.
