Saturday 24th October. Had some snagging done today, and of course, what has been for us the obligatory mess up.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I saw this...has this guy never seen a shower before or what...

Our new bath included a shower attachment, what he has put up on the wall is for the shower attachment, he took it out of the purple bowl next to the shower fitting that was taken off the wall way back on 9th September, when they started and needs to be put back up.

The handyman we're now waiting for will have to put that right, assuming he can tile, as 2 tiles will probably need to be replaced.

Sorry Tony, you've lost me. I know who The Beatles are (I am over 50 years old) I just don't see the connection.

Monday 26th October. No phone calls or visitors from Keepmoat.
Tuesday 27th October, the 50th day (including weekends) Visit from 2 suits and 2 contractors all at same time. The suits were Keepmoat manager (seem to have loads of managers) the other suit from Thurrock Council. Looking to see what minor things needed doing to finish our work, including mess up with shower fitting.
After complimenting them on works done I said it's been 50 days, we just want it finished and Keepmoat out of our home and out of our lives. The Keepmoat suit says these guys (the contractors) will get it finished today. Nope, they didn't, suppose to be coming back 8.00am tomorrow morning to do the shower fitting. Another day of having to get up a couple of hours before I usually do, or did over 50 days ago.

Finally got around to posting the before and after photos for bathroom and toilet.
The shower attachment error was resolved with correct attachments in correct places.

First the bathroom before. The dolphin wallpaper and fish roller blind did not go together at all, I know that, I just liked them both.

Had it been my choice, I would have chosen yellow walls for bathroom, but OH didn't like yellow, so with just 4 colours to choose from, and there were already some blue in our bathroom we went with blue walls and blue vinyl flooring. There's the ducks I was so determined to win in recent YDC auction to brighten up new bathroom.

Toilet before, oh, how I hated that out-dated pull chain cistern, am so glad to be rid of it, but old habits die hard, and I'm still putting my hand up to pull the chain and finding empty space.

Toilet after. Due to Keepmoat contractors mess up, ended up with a different colour than chose. I couldn't have yellow in bathroom, so I chose yellow walls for toilet with silver grey vinyl flooring, but contractors laid blue flooring in toilet as well as bathroom, so rather than messing about with them to take it up and put correct colour down I change wall colour to blue.

Looks so nice and neat!! I like the clean lines and more space the new kitchen and bath fixtures give you. Know what you mean about the well-trained hand. I still occasionally reach down with my right hand to shift gears in the car, and jam my fingers on the door......
