Not an answer to your question, but have you searched the makers website or the web generally for an online (usually a .pdf file) manual? Search for model-number manual.
Yes bought it from AO but no instructions for that bit on there.
Looked for a manual download but got that befuddled with it ( it doesn't take much ) I gave up and thought I would ask, another make said to just fill the top shelf so may try that.
If you give the make and model then maybe someone can locate a manual for you.
Never been a fan of dishwashers myself; they can't even keep themselves clean.

Scroll down to the Instruction For Use PDFs... It now needs a match for another number to get the exact manual - although any should cover the basic operations.
Thanks Shabs so in other words don't bother. I was only thinking of using it as with there just being the two of us there isn't enough in it to pay to run it so thought it would cost less but it seems not.
Thanks mel, i suppose it would of helped if I had not been trying to read the French version, no wonder i couldn't understand it in the first place but I now know 100% how to use it.
