    Default CPU Fans

During the rare heatwave in the UK at present...

If you have speed control on your CPU fan then best make sure it is ramped up to prevent overheating.

I normally have mine in 'Silent' mode and got a brief CPU temp warning flash up just now. Bumped up to 'Turbo' mode and the temp is dropping nicely.

Though why I bother with Silent mode I don't know...can't hear anything over my power supply fan.

    Default Re: CPU Fans

I use a separate desktop fan (is that the proper term?) for my laptop, the puter sits on top of the fan. I learned this the hard way when it overheated some time ago; apparently the internal puter fan isn't enough by itself, but with the desktop fan I can keep running for hours without a hitch.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
