Penygloddfa School is absolutely over the moon about it and can't thank us enough.

How wonderful is that! They are busy sorting out where to buy, training etc etc etc.... but of course most of that will happen after Easter now....

In the meantime they really are very, very happy ~ delighted doesn't even cover it!

Hi Ann, I last phoned and emailed School on 10th April and Jane (Office to whom you have spoken?) said that Mr Mullan was wanting to get it sorted asap but was also run off his feet with pressure of work.

Maybe a phonecall from yourself might be a timely reminder?

I've sent you copies of my emails to School (which have also been sent to the Trustees).

Just an update:

On 10th June I received the following delightful email (see below) from the Headmaster at Penygloddfa School. I have forwarded the email to the Trustees and requested the cheque from them. As soon as I have it I will send to Mr Mullan. I understand there will be a presentation eventually to which I will be happy to go to!

Thank you so much for your patience & forebearance in the matter of
helping us purchase a defibrillator for school.
I thank your organisation in helping to raiase £584 towards this end. As
stated in our recent telephone conversation, a cheque for said ammout
(£584) made payable to Penygloddfa School, would be gratefully received.
Can it please be sent to Mr. D.H. Mullan, Headteacher, Ysgol Penygloddfa,
School Lane, Newtown, Powys. SY16 2DF. I assure you that it is our
intention to add to this significant amount in order to purchase a
defibrillator that will be based in school and have staff trained in its
usage.
Once again very many thanks to you & all members of your organisation from
us here at Penygloddfa in making this possible.

Just an update: The cheque for Penygloddfa was put through my door by one of the Trustees while I was away. (I got back last night). I have posted it this morning by 1st Class Signed For service so hopefully School will have it in the morning.

Many, many thanks to all who took part in raising this money for Penygloddfa in the YDC 130 - not just from School but from me as well for making this possible.

Now looking forward to the Presentation!

I have just received an email from Penygloddfa School with great news
and another grateful thank you to us all for raising the money in YDC:

" Just to keep you in the picture; I have now ordered the defibrillator and have arranged initial training with the St. John's Ambulance Service for a date to be arranged.
They have an open day in Newtown on saturday so I hope that some staff
will visit to see how one might be used, if necessary. We have a staff
meeting tonight so this information will be shared with teaching staff
then.
A very successful concert last week (no entry fee) but a raffle will have
almost certainly have made up the 'shortfall' especially when we take the
VAT element into account.
With just a few weeks to go we will probably arrange for 'IT' to arrive in
September with said training on the 1st. Sept. as this is deemed to be a
staff INSET day.
Once again very many thanks & best wishes from us all at Ysgol Penygloddfa.
