MY ATTITUDE IS A RESULT OF YOUR ACTIONS!!!
IF YOU DONT LIKE IT BLAME YOURSELF.
A redacted government report on the shale gas industry's impact on rural economies should be published in full, Lancashire County Council has said.
Makes you wonder what they've got to hide?

Court hears evidence of contamination next to Barton Moss drilling site.
Soil samples from a field next to the Barton Moss hydrocarbon site in Salford had dangerous levels of contamination, a court heard today. But more testing is needed to establish where the contamination came from.
Environmental scientist, Dr Aidan Foley, gave evidence at Manchester Magistrates Court this morning that the samples had higher than permitted levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, found in fossil fuels and tar deposits.

Government wants to take control of Lancashire fracking decisions, councillors warned.
“Strong forces in Whitehall” want to take planning decisions about fracking away from local authorities, councillors in Lancashire have been warned.
During a county council meeting last week, members were advised there was a “real danger” that they could lose control over shale gas planning. The council should be very careful not to give the government a reason to take over decision-making powers, the meeting heard.
The comments came in a debate on a motion which called for the devolution of shale gas licensing to Lancashire.

Obviously judgement needs to be reserved until after the deeds. But it is worrying if Local Government discusses so openly what it perceives to be potential problems with the Westminster Government. If the Westminster Government does eventually do the dirty on Lancashire, then it will be further evidence of the pick and mix approach to democracy coming from the heart of the UK’s political system.
On a wider front, the following article is very interesting. Although the author and the website have their own political axes to grind, it is quite an objective article and worthy of being taken seriously. The Scottish Government has always stood full square behind renewables and has given whatever support it can within its limited powers. But there is a case for the Westminster Government to get behind renewables generation in and off Scotland in a big way. Sort out the more environmentally friendly renewables and you do not need the environmentally unfriendly carbon producing oil and gas from fracking.
