.
Many thanks for replying and for providing me with information to get involved.
Is there a thread yet about the upcoming January YDC and the charity that is being supported?
Is there a theme for the type of item that can be entered?
Oh and what does YDC stand for? Sorry for being a newb lol.
Hi Kristoffer - Booksntings won the last YDC competition and he chose NoRSACA Raines Avenue Gardening Project. ...
see http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthrea...-of-YDC-127-is
Vonz usually posts all the info a few days before the charity auctions start on 24th of each month.
We also get a PIMP thread, where we can pimp away at our hearts content!
We don't usually have a theme, anything goes really!
The winner of the competition is the person who raises the most money for their auction - and they get to nominate the next months charity.
You can list your item/items for the nominated charity, or choose one of your own, it must be a registered charity I believe.
You can choose whether or not to enter just for fun or to take part in the competition side of it - there are explanatory rules about this. If you win the competition, you will be expected to do the tally of money collected at the end of the auction - there are always many people to help you if you get confused - just shout for help!
YDC originally stood for Yorkies Daft Auctions, but it now stands for Your Donation Counts.
I do hope that you will join in the fun, but beware ...... YDC is addictive!
Also, beware of those sneaky tick-nickers that will pinch your green tick that shows that you are the top bidder - whilst you slumber or turn your back for a few minutes .... poof! Someone outbid you!
I could name names of these cunning snipers ..... but I won't. They know who they are!
The Winner of the last YDC was booksntings and he has nominated NoRSACA for this month's YDC.

There will be an announcement thread about it just a few days before YDC commences.
If you put YDC* in search box & go to one of his items listed you will be able to read a bit more about it & why he has chosen it. You will also see quite a variety of items listed - whether you choose to theme it or not is your choice.
YDC = Your Donation Counts
Don't apologise for being a newbie! Newbies are always made to feel welcome ~ just enjoy the banter/blackmail/threats/begging/humour that goes on during YDC if you decide to take part!!!
