Well cheaver is now off on her hols, so I'll add this as a codicil.

I tried out Hola which did not work at all as it had gone down temporarily. However, last evening it was working again so I tested it out; it had no effect whatsoever. and when I used it to con my ISP that I was in China, I still was unable to do anything I could not do from my actual location in South Essex, UK.
ct as a proxy server

What it does do, and do very well, is to allow the user to fake their location for browsing purposes. For example, I was able to switch it to "USA" and then have access to the site which is normally blocked to UK residents, including being able to stream from it. I hasten to add this was only done as an experiment. The blocking is done because of differing licensing agreements, etc., very much like the system used with DVD "regions".

So, going back to the "Pinterest" problem, this must be extraneous to eBid; "the truth is out there!"
