Cool Hi I am a newbie selling on ebid. If I go away do I have to cancel my lists?

If I go away for a week or two do I have to cancel my listings and start again when I
come back. Please advise me because I am a newbie!

If you are going to be away for that amount of time then best to suspend your listings, otherwise people trying to buy will not be impressed with getting no response from you.

You can set what is called a 'Holiday Notice'. More details on that here: http://mootango.webspace.virginmedia...idkb.htm#a0030

As Astral said, a Holiday Notice sorts the issue out.
Just had a peek at your listings.... you have an item of clothing in Collectibles category? Listings in wrong categories could be removed so best to check it.

And Welcome to the Forum. Lovely to see you here. Hope to see you about often.

What Mel said. I use the holiday setting whenever I'm going to be away from the puter for a while.

    Oh and welcome to eBid.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I like that people can preview your items while you are on holiday.

Just make sure that your holiday notice is active

I have gone to my ebid, my notices but from the link given

    *
Go to your My eBid page and select My Notices from the My Options menu at page left. Either create a new notice, or edit an existing one as shown below.

    • Create your message text. The number of characters available (max. 225) will vary depending on the sizes of font you use.
    • Select whether this notice is to be applied to all your items, or only items within certain Stores or eBid/Store categories.
    • Tick the Holiday Notice? and Active? boxes.
    • Finally click on the Save Notice button.

    *

**On my screen there is no 'my options'
Instead I clicked on the create new notice and was then given the options mentioned.

(Yes adding to an old thread save asking a question I was sure would have been asked before )

I am guessing that an automatic date of re-opening the items for sale is not an option? (hence a post it reminder)

    Thank you
