I didn't post for an argument, simply to point out possible ramifications. So I'll let it drop.

There are other things you can do, e.g...

Enter ICE numbers into your phone ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_case_of_emergency )

I carry a laminated (credit card sized) card in my wallet. One side has primary and secondary N.O.K contact details on, and the other side has information such as blood group and details of prescribed medications and their dosages on.

all well and good the police advocating the stickers, they tell you to not get into a mini cab in London unless you are sure you know it is the one you have booked. any mini cab in London that has the name of the cab company in the windscreen can be knicked. soooooooooooo I think when they are short of their total for the week they just might find an easy target with the stickers. just my opinion. btw it is not against the law to have the name on the doors or side of the cab.

    - as for windscreens - the contentious area is a 290mm band taking a centreline from the steering wheel...

That relates to windscreen damage, what damage is permissible, and what damage is allowed to be repaired rather than requiring replacement of the windscreen.

Regulations relating to the obstruction of forward vision apply to the area swept by the wipers
