Thanks for helping me raise such a fantastic amount. The groups coffers have never been as full in 7 years of operating. This will make such a big difference to us. Both me and all the members of the group would like to say a huge thank you to all sellers, bidders and those who gave donations. That you would all support such a little local charity is fantastic.
The last twice i have done the YDC i have picked charities that were big ones that could be googled and may affect anyone. (bowel cancer and hughes syndrome). I tried to make sure the ones I bid on were mostly for the other charities that were represented.
I have found this one difficult as i have been unwell, and havent yet managed to post all my items yet. I was not a the group today as i felt so bad but i phoned the treasurer and let her pass onto the group the amount raised and am passing on all their heartfelt thanks.
Apart from the obvious financial benefit this will have to the group, as a mental health group it has other benefits too. To know that so many people from all over the world are willing to lend support to us gives a psychological boost too. Many in the group have very low self-esteem and think others dont care so this YDC has had a very positive effect on the members. Thank you all so much for making a difference
