Default Will eBid please remove their watermarks from our photos?

As has been noted, we did not put the eBid logo on our photos, and now, in order for our items to get much of any exposure and be uploaded to Google, we need for listing photos NOT to have any logos or writing added to them.

I have deleted many of the original photos used in my listings, knowing that eBid kept them safely stored. How could I know that eBid's additional watermark would now cause problems? Life is too short to go back and retake, and re-upload pictures for all my listings.

And, if listings are not shown on Google, the potential traffic to eBid as a whole, and each individual seller, is seriously limited.

Surely, if eBid put the logo on, eBid can take it off. Thanks in advance for making it so.
    Ta-Ta for now!

Not that simple. The logos are part of the image.

To be fair to eBid, they could not have known when they added the logos that Google were going to start objecting to their existence far in the future. They did stop adding them a while ago at the first whiff that a problem was looming.

I store all my images on my hard drive.

So to get rid of the eBid logo, I replace the current picture with the eBid logo with an upload from my hard drive via the edit/Close listing tab.

Have got rid of all the old blue and yellow logos this way; now working through - as and when - the red ones.

As far as I am aware, this is the only way to do it.

Do I need to reload all my old images?

Astral is right. I saw the same complaint about inserted logos on the forums on TOS.

I think the logos had two purposes, to make it difficult for people to steal photos and to advertise the site. I had no objection when they were inserted. We had put our own watermark over many of our art prints and had to replace the photos when the rules changed.

That's what I did. If the photo had borders, it was faster to copy the image from the listing to my computer, crop the edges, and replace it. I did that with about 2,000 of our stamp listings. I used our stored photos for those that did not have borders.

Google has no right to say creators/owners of images cannot have logo's/names etc. on them, it is a legally given mechanical copyright law that creators/owners of pictures can display their logo/name on images they have created. eBid shouldn't really put their logo on other people's images anyway.

As for the waste of space google shopping, the unnecessary paid for service that was only introduced to make googe more money when your items show up on normal google/bing searches anyway, I refuse to remove my shop name from the pictures that I have created as I refuse to allow others (mainly competitors) to use my images, hence the reason you put a logo/name on the images in the first place and having your name/logo on your images is part of the advertisement of your business and google do not have the right to take that away from you, me or anyone. Google are as bad as eBay trampling over your legally given rights in this area. It's about time eBid stopped wasting their money on this unnecessary google shopping service and put that money into some proper advertising to break the stagnant sales situation affecting the larger majority od sellers here.

The part I am having difficulty understanding is Google going to manually look at all the pictures uploaded, because as somebody pointed out the logo becomes part of the image so it is just more 1s and 0s amongst all the other 1s and 0s that make up the image.

    I received this message on the subject from support in June;
"We do have date checks in place to make sure we upload images without the eBid logo whenever possible.

Any images uploaded to eBid after 17 Apr 2013 we will upload the large version to Google Shopping as this is when we removed the logo from our large photos.

Any uploaded to eBid before that we upload the medium sized version which did not have the logo on."
