    Default Overdue account!

I try to be diligent and pay my bills on time. When I got my last ebid bill on the 1st July it was for a total of 73pence. I thought it was marked as "too low" to pay - As I pay by PayPal I know how high their fees are, better for all concerned, except PayPal to leave it until it is a reasonable amount (I have an account with a similar organisation and they wait until the account deficit is at least £2 before demanding payment)

So I was somewhat surprised to see my account activity is blocked because I haven't paid my 73p (22p to PayPal!!!).

I will of course pay immediately but It might be sensible to look at the threshold for payments to maximise the amount paid to ebid and not a representative of the darkside!!!!!

Why would you think it was marked too low to pay? Invoices clearly state whether payment is expected or not.

No payment = no goods. Why were you surprised at that? Try & return to fill your petrol tank up after a non-payment! Will you be surprised if you can't?

Management's threshold decisions are purely theirs, surely?

well, a bill is a bill, low as it is... and I don't mind paying the ittle bills! (don't get them that often!)

But yes, It would make sense for eBid folk to re-think about that in terms of the paypal costs however.

How do you know that it would make sense? (sense to whom?) ~ Or are you assuming that eBid Paypal costs are rated the same as ours?
I feel certain that eBid Management do not need our assistance to run their business.

Perhaps eBid could send out a reminder before blocking an account, just as we have to send reminders to non paying buyers before reclaiming fvf's.

Maybe surprised was a bad choice of words - as soon as I realised payment was due I paid.
We all know about businesses with signs saying that they don't take credit cards for amounts less than £10. That is their management threshold decision. Yes I was making a SUGGESTION. You might say that the decision is purely theirs, but that does not mean it is the right one, nor that we don't have the ability to suggest a change. Any business should seek to minimise costs, they just need to balance delay in payment over disproportionate fees.
