Have you got a pic of it? I've got a box of parts(unsorted) that were mainly cf but I vaguely remember some rogue ones in there.

I could have sworn I'd replied to this thread after you'd posted the pics.Obviously an age thing!
I did look through my bits but haven't got one, sorry.
The part is available on the rootes webshop site for 39.50 euros plus vat.Don't know about postage.

Whilst looking at the time I read a reference somewhere that General Motors Part No.10108470 would fit. These retail for about 3.50 to 4 dollars. That's without the postage from the states though!

I know someone who might know.
I'll ask and get back to you.

    Have you tried autojumbles?

No worries! - I have seen the rootes part, but it is for later models; the outlet goes in the other direction to mine.

Looked up the General Motors part - looks like it might fit and certainly a lot cheaper, despite postage of $21+

    Many thanks for input.

Appreciated if you could - many thanks.

I don't get to many autojumbles - usually too far away - but, yes, they are worth a visit of course

Checked my source, and he doesn't know of anything. He suggests the Hillman owners club, or a source of Chrysler parts.

Asked a bloke who refurbishes parts for classic cars - he says the corrosion is a common problem. He says that you could clean up the inside of the tube, Araldite a piece of thin copper tube inside, projecting beyond the end, and then build up the profile (on top of the copper) with Chemical Metal.

Might be worth a try if all else fails
