Hover your mouse over the upper right hand corner of post and a little down arrow will appear. Click on that and you will have a list of options. One will be to "delete post".

Ahhh... that's probably why I am having problems then. I am working on my tablet and there is no hover. Will have to try on my main PC. Thanks for the pointer.

My tablet is out of commission, so can't test the theory, but what if you "touch" the upper right hand corner of the post?

Got it! The upper corner click sometimes works, but getting the right spot is very hit & miss. Clicking on the Comments button, though, opens a new window from where I can access a drop-down with the options on.

Thanks for the help.

Now I can't get eBid's Google+ button on listings to work; the input box opens and then closes again. Looks like I'll have to do any Google+ stuff on my PC.
