The bit at the bottom is referring to my O/H's late father and grandfather who were gamekeepers and later on National Trust wardens on an estate on the outskirts of Porthleven !
Thanks once again to everybody for the wonderful support in last month's YDC.
Just quoting myself from yesterday as the fisherman's letter had gone onto the previous page. (Oh booger the attachment isn't showing in the quote, see the last page for the letter !)

Thank you Penni that is a nice reply from LTG.

    What a lovely letter Sarge.
Thank-you so much for sharing it with us.

Well done Penni, it was kind of LTG to send you a thank-you letter.

Round of applause for all YDC'ers!

As they are just a small group of under 20 people (about 12 regular attenders) every penny counts. It formed 7 years ago when the local Mental Health Hospital closed down.
We live in a rural area that is widespread (covers about a 30 mile radius) and most of the members are unable to drive or cannot because of medications. The main cost in keeping it going is transport and the weekly bill is over £30. We get a small amount of this from the NHS but the rest has to be raised by the members.
The NHS also provides a Community Psycriatic Nurse each week and pays for the venue.
It is a lifeline to those who attend. For some folk it is the only time in a week they get out and for others it is a safe stepping stone after leaving hospital.
Over the years people have come and gone as their recovery progresses but there is no pressure to move on. Around 120 people have benefited from the group over this time.
I was one of the founder members and although I have not attended the whole time, I see the benefit of the group for the area as a whole, therefore I offered to be fundraiser. As well as our YDC auctions we do other small things to help fill the coffers including we each (if we can) pay a small sum each week.
I would like to thank all who have made it possible to be able to do this for the group
