dry and warm here at the moment

A wet morning here after a heavy thunder thunderstorm betwen 3am and 4am.

Still hot though and the sun isn't even shining yet.

Met Office have given this area an amber weather warning.

Only light rain here at the moment, just on the edge of the amber warning .... with a bit of luck we'll miss the worst of it.

Another thunder & lightening storm at 6am; managed to sleep through the earlier part, apparently !

Rain has been coming down like stair rods since another thunder storm around 1.00pm last night.

Absolutely persisting down at the moment.

My poor, beautiful, phlox is lying flat and dejected to the ground.

Roads are like lakes.

Just stopped raining and is starting to clear up, but I won't hold my breath.

The orchids are loving it. I am not.
