It's over 30 years since I was Chinooked in the Rogers Pass

Cold and snowing here at the moment, it's going to freeze over later, not good for the drivers.

Well, there's a place around NYC that you can see when you take a boat ride around the island. I did it donkey's years ago (I lve that UK expression!) when my ex and I went to NY for some new medical treatment. The place is at the N end of the island, and the early Dutch inhabitants called it something like Spuitten Dievel…...and I can't help but think that a spitting Devil is about what it's like here today. COLD and lots of Little Drop rain. SOOO cold when you're out because you can't stay dry. But it's not snow. yet.

Outside my front door there is such a light smattering of the white stuff that I thought at first it was a heavy frost.
