Has anyone else had trouble logging into paypal today ?

I just went to log into my Paypal account to check on something and couldn't get in ! It accepted my email and password fine but then went to a screen which had one of those letters and numbers security thingies which you have to copy to prove you are human ! Every time I typed in the letters and numbers and pressed continue it just gave me a new set to copy instead of going to my account. I've never known Paypal to do that before ?

I sent them an email and have eventually managed to get in after about eight attempts, without the bloomin' extra security page appearing. I hope this is not going to happen every time I want to log in.

I've just phoned them up, was trying to purchase something but kept getting error message, I did manage to log into my paypal account, and I phoned them up, seems they are having a bit of trouble at the moment, they said they are trying to sort it out as quick as possible

Thanks for letting me know Shezz. That is a relief to know that there are problems that are being worked on and it's not just my account throwing a wobbly !

Yes I have been having a few issues.

I would advise that anyone getting sales today should send out an invoice to the customer with an explanation that there are some problems at paypal which mean that payment may prove difficult but should be resolved in a matter of hours.

I must admit a wave of panic hit me when I found myself locked out and thought about the YDC auctions I was bidding on !

Good idea Deano, we don't want newbies thinking it is something wrong at the eBid end.

Just checked my Paypal account without issue, maybe the problem is sorted, (fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed)...

I can't even update my debit card details with them since the previous one has now expired, so they removed it
