Well folks...i'll have to admit defeat......

Time has come to make a decision on Ron's family's behalf...

So after much discussion (off the forum), a few of us have come to the conclusion that Ron was a great supporter of Children's Charities. Also, many of the bidding wars were fought over "sweeties" for his Grandchildren.

Therefore, with this in mind, I HAVE CHOSEN - SHOOTING STAR CHASE CHILDREN'S HOSPICE which is based in Ron's home county of Middlesex.

I hope everyone is in agreement with this decision - it has been a really tough call to make.

As you may know, Shooting Star Chase provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we are here to make every moment count. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.



Our bespoke support is free of charge to families and available 365 days a year. Our care service includes short breaks at our two hospices (Shooting Star House in Hampton and Christopher’s in Guildford), Hospice at Home, day care, symptom management, end of life care, bereavement care and a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups for the whole family.



Gifts in memory are hugely appreciated as we rely almost entirely on the generosity of our supporters for funding. Without the help of people like yourself, we simply wouldn’t be here to help families who are faced with incredibly difficult situations.



Once again, thank you for your support and choosing to remember your friend in such a special and positive way.
