Postcards as a Main Category

I so agree! Actually, I think it would be better not ghosted because of the clunky drop down for selecting category.

My suggestion was ghost category from Collectables in addition to it being a Main Category. Just so that buyers who are used to finding them under Collectables can still find them.

Yes, I know it was, but one of the reasons for moving Postcards, imo, is to get that huge chunk out of the middle of the Collectables drop down when selecting a sub-cat.

How about merging Tickets and travel (213 items!) with Whatever's left and then making postcards a top level category?

This would be a disaster. Stamps already represent over 10% of the total listings. Adding stamps and postcards together would represent well over 15% of all listings. I cannot see how making postcards a subcategory of a new top level category of Stamps and Postcards is any better than being a subcategory of Collectables.
If Postcards were to be made a top level category, it would be the fourth largest top level category. Therefore I am convinced that Postcards deserves to be, and should be, a top level category. Personally, I cannot see a problem in making one new top level category.

Seriously, merging stamps with postcards would create the most horrendous drop-down for category selection ever!!!
