Some ideas for ebid - No 1 - Change the name

I think its members attitudes that need to change not the name, why is it up to Ebid to promote me and my auctions? A business doesn't just open up and list itself in a phonebook and think right its up to them to promote and do the hard work for me while I just sit here.

What are members actively doing themselves?

I have been a member here for over 7 years on and off my choice, but this time I want to stay here and make a real go of it, so I have listed several different category items to get bigger audience I have been active on the forum, bought items from other sellers and contributed to the charity of the month auctions this not only raises money for the charity but raises awareness of me and my items for sale, that is just on the site away from that I have told my friends at work again about Ebid while I was still active on the other site I sent a note with every parcel to say I was moving over here.

All business have slow periods its not about Ebid not doing enough , its about what people want to buy and when and how we are promoting ourselves on here to the outsiders.
Maybe if we show some willing and start bringing people here to stay , Ebid may look into more advertising and promotions, but we have to make an effort and show some willing too.

exactly i never signed up to a promotion web site, i signed up to a selling platform, although we do get promotion through google shopping,

Clearly that site didn't do its research before doing its branding! You would think they'd have looked to see if there were any other 'ebid' sites around, it's not that hard to find this place!

Anyone know the legal position. Who had the eBid name first. Metro even spell it with the capital "B".
Remember when the US wrestling group had to change from WWF to WWE because the World Wildlife Fund had got the WWF trade mark first.

Not only is the name similar, but they are in the same sort of business!

But how much would it cost to sue them ?
