Default Charity sales progress thanks to eBid

    .

Just a news update. Thanks to the huge generosity of eBidders (both YDC'ers & to all my Buyers) I have been spending Janet's Trust money again.

Last Friday was another Defibrillator presentation at a School. (6th of planned 8 after which it's time to save up again, lol!)

Spot the pink Penguin with Head Boy & Girl......

Thank you to each & all who have contributed either through YDC Charity events here on eBid or via sales from my eBid Stores as well as those who have also very kindly donated out of the goodness of their hearts.

A huge thank you also on behalf of all the children (over 3500 of them so far) who now have the added protection of a defibrillator at School, as well as the Staff & Visitors.

That is wonderful! That sort of gift may benefit anyone, and in an expanding circle effect, like a ripple in a pond, everyone.

Excellent, well done. A local company bought one for the kids school and St. John's Ambulance came and did a demonstration and training. It is available for the entire community and might one day save a life, though hopefully like yours it will never be needed.

That's great news. The early ones that Janet's Trust funded were part-funded via British Heart Foundation but the BHF has since withdrawn support for Defibs in Schools, GP & Dental Surgeries. Hence Janet's Trust has either part-funded (if Schools are able to contribute) or (in the case of heavily overdrawn School budgets) wholly funded if the money was available.
The North West Ambulance Service here negotiates a special deal with Suppliers and also gives free training. At the School last Friday 24 Staff had been trained & the defibs use is also available to the outside Community as well.
Yes, let's hope none of them are ever needed!
