Finally got some pictures to post.

Brendan is such a polite young man. He is in the Liberal Arts and Sciences program and hopes to go on for a 4 year degree. He is not quite sure what he will study. He was very appreciative! I gave him my email address and asked him to let us know how he does in his studies.

What?! Are you saying I don't look just like my avatar? It is fun to see what people really look like. I think he will do well in life. He has a wonderful attitude and seems to just take things in stride and keeps moving forward.

It's nice to donate money to worthy causes, but I find actually getting to meet the people that are helped is inspiring. His family has just recently been able to "live" in the 1st floor of their house. It was totally flooded by the storm. So they all moved to the 2nd floor using a hot plate to cook. Not sure what they did for refrigeration. Have never been in a post war situation, but his description of their circumstances since "Sandy" made me think of that.

Thanks. Yes, Brendan does seem quite sincere and quite shy. He has a demeanor that I do not often see in those his age.
