    Default Bulk edit woes

Well, I am getting nowhere trying to update my 'Make-an-Offer' listings in bulk, so decided to turn the feature off en-masse... all 1613 listings... but there were 4 fails... and I couldn't search for these independently - doh! - I had to trawl through each page (33 of 'em) until I hit upon them...

And the reason for the failures? - they had recieved an offer already... but... the offer was auto-declined and therefore no longer valid, so why can't I take it off?

I guess I'll just have to close/edit/relist to get rid of the 'Make-an-Offer' option... support will be contacted.

For some reason it couldn't do the edit on just those 4. Is it possible they had closed and about to relist (or close) at the time of the bulk edit. Might be worth checking any listing that relisted between the time you submitted the bulk edit and it completed.

Otherwise I guess its a case of looking through 33 pages.

It couldn't do the edit on those four because they had an offer previously - and the offer had been auto-declined (as it timesout after 48hours) - so why should it be a problem?

As I said before, I'll just have to close/edit/relist to get rid of the 'Make-an-Offer' option.

Update for info: as this hasn't been highlighted to support before, and currently the 'Make-an-Offer' system will not allow this, the eBid team have stated they will look into this...

Does anyone know if ebid plan add a 'remove 1st bid settings' under My bulk edit as an option? It would facilitate the changing of bid option parameters. Thanks.

The option is already there. Just alter the Close Auction details.

No this will not change a 'close after x days on first bid' to a 10 day listing only

    see error results;
Run Until Sold and On First Bid Auctions cannot be auto-reposted.

How do I bulk edit a 'on first bid auction' change to a 10 day listing. Doesn't seem to be a way to do this. Also it would be so helpful, if after making one bucket change, you could revisit the same listings in a bucket and make a subsequent change to these same listings.

Then run it twice. Once to remove the Auto-Repost, and again to change the Close time. You may even be able to do both in a single run.

    Beat you to it: http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthrea...Re-Use-Buckets

Nope, tried that. Tried to remove the first bid in close auction but the only options are change number of days to auction end or no. of auto reposts. It appears once you've gone down the route of entering a first bid option on a listing, there is no way to remove it in bulk editor. Is this one for support?

Ok, after trying it it does seem that you can't alter the 'Start Time' using Bulk Edit.

In that case the only way I can see you can do it is by using either the Ninja Lister or the Bulk Upload spreadsheet to make the changes and set the 'Action' to 'Add/Overwrite'.

I hope you have ensured that you have a backup of your current listings before embarking on bulk changes - just in case things screw up.
