I thought he lived in America. Another Scot always banging on about how great Scotland is - but left first chance he got and doesn't want to live there.

There has been some talk of changing it (including to add the Welsh Dragon as Wales is not represented on the Union Jack) but, apparently, there is no need for it to be altered if Scotland exits the union.

I've got a vague recollection that the Union Flag signifies the union of the Crowns rather than a political union. So it's probably right to say that there would be no need for alteration.

as the scots are so generous towards England, do you think they might just pay a bit more over the next few months or so, so the English don't have to pay for prescriptions or university education. I think mr salmond made a big mistake by not insisting that the English had a vote in the referendum as well, you would certainly get independence then. good luck whichever way the vote goes.

Given independence, will all those born in Scotland but choosing to live in the rest of the UK have to apply for visas to remain? If so...they may have problems passing the English test.

There seems so many unanswered questions over this issue with the referendum fast approaching. So much seems to be based on speculation over what will be the case after a split. Many assumptions seem to be being made that external forces (e.g. the EU, NATO, the UK, foreign states, etc.) will simply fall in line with the nationalists desires. Salmonella and Co. claim that they will, but give no roadmap of what happens if they don't.
