I would have thought the point was obvious. We (i.e. our government - of any colour) can always find, and is happy to spend, vast amounts helping those in other countries while letting our own people suffer or die from a lack of money and resources. Someone has their priorities badly wrong.

Around 8% of the UK population live in Scotland and around 84% live in England.

We are now into the fourth decade of the English receiving billions of pounds in aid each year from Scotland by way of tax on North Sea oil revenues. If the English cannot afford to support life, what has happened to all that Scottish aid? As an English person, I could understand Scottish people asking the question of why do they give so much and could not the Scottish aid be better spent at home? 45% of them made their feelings on the subject known last September and would prefer not to give aid to the English.

Currently we live in a country called Great Britain and Northern Ireland so revenue does not belong to the area of the uk called Scotland.
