Exclamation Does anyone work at Ebid????

It seems like no category requests get addressed or changed. Does anyone actually work at Ebid or is it just an abandoned site?

I think the category requests get done in batches. It's probably more efficient to do hundreds at one time rather than few now and then.

Also, it seems to have a lower priority than other work which is understandable if you read the forums. There seem to be constant requests to add functions, and everyone wants their request done first.

    Patience.

Some of us want to slow down category changes as many require sellers to change their existing listings.

I agree with Bill, when on another site I got fed up with getting emails almost daily, not asking but telling me to move some of my items as a new category had been added and my items where now in the wrong category

also just because you ask it does not meant you will get

Sometimes I wonder whether some of the new categories requested are just too detailed or precise. Perhaps there should be a threshold of a minimum number of listings which would be placed in that category, based on the number of listings which would qualify. In some cases, perhaps broader categories would be better.
My main gripe is listers who put listings in the wrong category when the correct category exists.

Plus as it stands there are so many incredibly unnecessary categories. Hopefully they are thinning requests to prevent things being over-specified and then can deal with the ones that have already been.

In general terms it is easier to rely on sellers putting the important details in the title.

Tony41 (or any of the other stamp sellers) ... if you see any of my stamp listings in the wrong categories, please let me know. I'm trying to sort through my in-law's accumulation of stamps and am an absolute beginner in the world of stamps. Sorry to be a bother and sorry to post this off-topic comment.

I agree with you on both accounts

Although I would be interested in what the minimum would be though...... I have hundreds of postcards of just British Airways airlines but I dont think it needs a separate cat for them they are sub divided within my subject store which is good enough for me.
