Even if you listed your vehicle manual in an inappropriate category such as for example.....electronics.....buyers would still find the listing via their keyword entries....as you know if you were enter the word Chevrolet, you'd be presented with all listings featuring the word Chevrolet....add the word Impala, and you'd see all listings relating to Chevrolet impala....placing the listing into the "appropriate" category will not really make much difference to the results returned unless of course a potential buyer is browsing Ebid by way of categories only (very unlikely).

Your disappointment in relation to selling on this site is due i'm afraid to not enough prospective buyers knowing of the sites existence in the first place and this is the barrier to healthy sales over here.....by all means tweak your listings by way of keywords, photos, prices, shipping deals....but in the end if no one is viewing these then its all rather futile.

I know you are right but when things aren't selling as fast as we like it is easy to "grasp at straws" to think there must be something that can be done to help.

There's been lots of helpful suggestions offered in the forums. If you don't find useful advice you can ask somewhere chatty like the 'Kitchen Table' and someone will review your auctions.

I've noticed the best advice seems to be to list several thousand items! I've a long way to go!

    Good luck.

I have lots of things to list but the house would be bare if I listed several thousand.

There is truth in that the more listings that you can create then....you are effectively widening your net....so to speak. ....the reason why this is about the only good method of pushing your sales is due to the more listings that you can see on Google then the more chance you have of pulling in potential buyers in from the outside world.

But as you realise this is even "grasping at straws"...we all do it over here.
