Default Why List Without An Image Of The Item????

I was just wondering why some sellers list without a photo of the item being sold.

For me, it's a case of moving on if there is no photo, if a seller can't be bothered with a photo then I can't be bothered looking at their listing.

If the seller can't provide a photo, then why waste time listing?

    Am I missing something?

I believe if you aren't seller+, then a gallery pic costs you money. Some people don't want to fork over the money if not necessary. I'm with you...I rarely will look at a listing without a pic.....

The idea of being able to list without any cost seems very attractive.

    The downside is

    • very rare sales
    • unappealing listings in Ebid
    • unpreparedness for occasional sales

i occasionally put up a listing without a pic. My reasoning is i list when i discover something i want to list but cant always take a photo right away. If i have listed it i will remember but if i put it away to list later i will forget. I do usually go back and add photos later

I wouldn't be in this game if I could not add images of products.
Be a waste of time in my opinion.

I would understand if the photo was expensive to those that have to pay, but you have to speculate to accumulate.
It's like having a shop in the High Street that keeps the shutters closed over the windows.

Or are some clever sellers using reverse psychology?

Mind you, some listings without images have appalling descriptions too.
Try putting the word fuse into the eBid search and look for a listing without an image.

I have also wondered myself about items listed with no image, the old saying that the picture speaks a thousand words is very true here, I simply pass by any lists without images

Ditto this. The only exception I make is for books, if the description is good, as I'm not a collector, just a reader.

I do remember in years past buying jools on the other site, some with lousy or no pix turned out to be the nicest items and I got good deals, as nobody else would bid.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
